A work from Estudio Lamela architecture: Lublin City Stadium

The Lublin City Stadium in Poland was designed in 2011 by the Estudio Lamela architectural practice after winning the competition for the project through the collaboration with Budimex as the contractor, offering a venue that meets the UEFA and PZPN requirements for a category III stadium. The project has a capacity of 15400 seats and is located on the riverside of Bystrzyca on the site of a former sugar factory. The front of the stadium has a parking for up to 1000 automobiles and 20 buses as well as two full-size training pitches nearby. The grandstand contains the parking areas for players, VIPs, press and employees.
The stadium isn’t used exclusively for football competitions, but can be adapted for cultural events as well and as a recreation center. The west side is occupied by the entrance for the VIP guests and the eastern part is reserved for retail spaces, cafes and a spa that permits the partial funding for the stadium.
